Philipsburg – The voting period for 11th Annual Crystal Pineapple Awards officially opens as of today, October 17th, 2016. This puts YOU in the perfect position to vote for those individuals and organizations you think should be recognized for their outstanding performance in the Hospitality, Tourism and Trade Industry. May it be an excellent employee, an outstanding manager, your favorite chef or bartender, for example.
The Crystal Pineapple Awards Gala is the ONLY event on the island that recognizes Hospitality & Trade personnel, organizations and associations for their outstanding performance during the year. During this year’s Gala Awards, individuals who are employed in the Hospitality and Trade industry will receive awards in the categories of Accommodations, Restaurants & Bars, Trade, Outstanding Community Service Achievement, Entertainer of the year, Customer Service Representative and our newest category Taxi/Tour person of the year.
The award ceremony will be held on Saturday, November 19th, 2016 at the Sonesta Maho Beach Resort & Casino. The gala evening includes a sumptuous dinner, live entertainment, a silent auction and much more. The festivities have started early with nominees receiving their nomination certificates personally from the Director and Staff of the SHTA. Nominees were invited to the SHTA office where they were surprised with their certificate and participated in a photoshoot and made a video, which can be found on SHTA Website, Facebook and YouTube page.
Voting can be done on https://shta.com/vote-here. The polls will close on Monday November 14th, 2016 at 12 noon. Remember that your vote can make someone feel like a star that evening.
