Orco Bank, through its Orco Cares Program, proudly joined St. Maarten Medical Center (SMMC) in supporting a successful breast cancer screening event on Saturday, October 31, bringing Breast Cancer Awareness Month to a meaningful close.
More than a partnership, the initiative gave the Orco Bank Sint Maarten team an opportunity to get personally involved, with team members volunteering their time alongside SMMC to support the day’s activities and help create a welcoming experience for members of the community attending the screening.
The event formed part of the ongoing partnership between Orco Bank and SMMC to promote greater health awareness and encourage people across Sint Maarten to take a proactive role in their health. The collaboration began with activities supporting Prostate Cancer Awareness Month in September and continued into Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.
Ahead of the event, Orco Bank also handed over 300 campaign T-shirts to SMMC to help raise awareness and reinforce the campaign’s message: early detection is the best protection.
“Orco Cares is about more than providing support; it is about showing up for the communities we serve,” said Judy King Richardson, Country Manager of Orco Bank Sint Maarten. “Seeing our team volunteer alongside SMMC and contribute to such an important initiative was incredibly meaningful. We are proud to play our part in encouraging our community to prioritize their health.”
The successful screening reflects the shared commitment of Orco Bank and SMMC to community health, awareness and early detection, while demonstrating the spirit behind the Orco Cares Program: bringing Orco Bank employees and community partners together to make a positive difference.
Sint Maarten is our home. Orco Cares is how we show it.
