Welcome to The Sint Maarten Yacht Club & Sailing School. We’re here to promote Sailing and Youth Sailing on the beautiful and sunny island of Sint Maarten! Here’s what we do:
– We organize races and regattas for our members & non-members
– We provide instruction and training for sailing and racing
– We offer both group and private Youth and Adult Sailing classes
– We have a lot of dinghy sailboat for rent
– We organize a monthly Trivia Night and more social activities.
One of our goals is to make sailing available for as many individuals as we can. In an effort to make sailing accessible to a broader audience, The Sint Maarten Yacht Club pursues this goal through two projects:
– The Sint Maarten Yacht Club sailing school provides free sailing classes for primary schools on Sint Maarten, during school hours. These classes are funded by private / business donations and the sport department of the Sint Maarten government. A part of this program is the SWIM 2 SAIL– program. This is a program especially for the students that are not able to swim yet or don’t feel comfortable being in/around the water.
– The Sint Maarten Yacht Club sailing school provides free sailing classes for students challenged with a mental or physical disability.

St. Maarten Golf Association
The St. Maarten Golf Association (SMGA) was established in 1990 to promote the playing of golf on St. Maarten and to bring together the many golfing enthusiasts who call St. Maarten home. The association is a non-profit, membership based entity which presently consists of 110 avid golfers residing on St. Maarten; both full and part time residents of all ages and nationalities.
Its mission; to promote the playing of golf on St. Maarten, to organise tournaments and create a sense of camaraderie amongst players whilst at the same time donating to charitable causes to benefit the St. Maarten community.
The St. Maarten Golf Association’s board is elected annually at the AGM in November. It is the Board’s responsibility to plan and organise tournaments, solicit donations and prizes and arrange special events so as to promote the sport for the benefit and enjoyment of its members and the community.
SXM Padel Group B.V.
SXM Padel Group manages the SXM Padel Club in Belair, a top facility dedicated to the growing sport of padel. The club offers three premium courts with LED lighting for day and night play, plus a pro shop for gear and rentals. Courts can be rented by the hour or through membership packages.
The club features an observation deck and snack bar, making it a great social spot. Regular events, tournaments, and a welcoming atmosphere make it ideal for both playing and relaxing.
SXM Padel Club provides coaching for all skill levels, with private or group lessons starting from age 4. It also hosts training sessions with visiting pros and organizes regional and international tournaments.
Beyond the club, SXM Padel Group designs and builds custom padel facilities. Since 2021, they’ve worked to grow the sport locally, with a strong focus on developing young players.
