October 2003 The SHTA organized the first annual General Managers’ Retreat at Port de Plaisance where general managers received updates on SHTA activities and programs and were able to discuss a number of marketing, human resources and operational issues with moderators including interim labor department head, Rafael Boasman, GEBE diretor, Julius Lambert, and University Dean, Charles Armitage as well as Nature Foundation representative Andy Caballero.
In that same month SHTA executed a salary survey in the hospitality sector as part of the requests made by general managers during the SHTA General Managers’ Retreat.
