Philipsburg— The Crystal Pineapple Awards voting period closed on November 15th, 2015 with an astounding 10.000+ votes! The record setting votes were cast for the 62 nominees that are all looking forward to being winners in the various categories of this year’s 10th Annual Crystal Pineapple Awards and 45th Anniversary Celebration of the SHTA. The organizing committee is beyond pleased with the record setting votes cast and sincerely thanks the public for their enthusiasm.
Glitter Events has been contracted to transform the venue into a magical ambiance suitable only for St, Maarten’s best and brightest stars during the “Night of the Industry Stars’ themed Gala event. Genesis Music Group will be providing the sound and lighting for the evening and the Telcell Breakthrough Winners will make a special appearance during the event.
With only 4 days left till the Award Gala Event, very limited tickets are still available at the SHTA office at a cost of $150 per person. Each ticket gives access to the cocktail reception, the Award ceremony, a sumptuous dinner, the silent auction and live entertainment. The St. Maarten Hospitality & Trade Association is hosting its Crystal Pineapple Awards Gala Event on Friday November 20th, 2015 at the Sonesta Maho Beach Resort & Casino. To date the Awards Gala is the ONLY event on the island that recognizes Hospitality & Trade personnel, organizations and associations for their contribution towards the tourism industry. Individuals who are employed in the Hospitality and Trade industry will receive awards in the categories of Accommodations, Restaurants & Bars, Trade, Timeshare, as well the category Outstanding Community Service Achievement, Best Entertainer of the year and Best Customer Service Representative.
