Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines is gearing up for the winter season by offering passengers new options to escape the cold and snow of the Midwest. Starting in December, the carrier will launch nonstop flights from Minneapolis–St. Paul International Airport (MSP) to both Aruba and St. Maarten.
In addition to these new routes, Delta will increase its existing frequencies to Grand Cayman and San Juan, Puerto Rico, boosting its Latin American and Caribbean operations from MSP to over 120 weekly flights.
Flights to Queen Beatrix International Airport (AUA) in Aruba will operate on Fridays and Saturdays starting December 20th. Service to Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM) in St. Maarten will begin a day earlier on December 19th, with flights on Thursdays and Saturdays.
Delta will use the Boeing 757-200 for both routes, with a seating configuration for 199 passengers in a two-class layout. First class includes 20 recliner seats, while the main cabin has 179 standard economy seats, including 29 Delta Comfort+ seats with extra legroom. Premium travelers will enjoy a full meal service and complimentary alcoholic beverages, while Delta Comfort+ passengers will receive free drinks.
Both flights will depart MSP around 07:00 and arrive before 15:00 local time. Return flights will leave shortly after 16:00 and arrive before 20:30.
