A double booth of Flow Business will be heading this years “Vendor Category” of the St. Maarten / St. Martin Annual Regional Tradeshow (SMART) on April 8 to 11. This was announced by the telecommunication company today in conjunction with the SMART organization, and both call on other St. Maarten “vendors” to join in and connect to the so called “Buyer” and “Supplier” categories of the tradeshow.
Tourism is estimated to make up over 85% of the St. Maarten national income; the same can be said for its surrounding islands. The binational SMART event brings offer and demand within the industry together from a business-to-business perspective through two tradeshow days and networking events. The SMART tradeshow “vendor category” consists of those local businesses interested in connecting to the regional tourism industry.
Various vendor companies have joined FLOW business in presence in the event with a booth. Companies taking part in the vendor category in the past have amongst others been wholesalers, technology companies, retailers, construction companies, marketing and communications agencies and transport and logistics companies. Raishukah Porier of Flow Business: “SMART is the largest tradeshow of the Northeastern Caribbean. For Flow Business, the event is a unique networking opportunity with so many important players of the tourism economy and beyond. We are a telecommunications company serving many of the companies present, we look forward to partner up with companies that would like to take their telecom features to a next level.
Organizers call on those vendors wanting to be present at the tradeshow floor (April 9th and 10th) to timely contact SMART this week. In addition to the opportunity to have a tradeshow booth, walkaround tickets are available.
Current confirmed tourism “suppliers” come from both sides of St. Maarten / St. Martin, Anguilla, Antigua, the British Virgin Islands, Curacao, Dominica, Saba, Statia and St. Barths. They consist of hotels small and large, tourism bureaus, yachting companies, villa agencies, attractions and activities, airliners and more. Next to the vendors and suppliers, the third conference category or “buyer / travel agent” segment has delegates from Austria, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Mexico, Spain, and the United States.
