Community Gathering at Villa Avanti Sxm Blends Yoga, Vegan Cuisine, and Sound Bath in Support of Local Food Relief

SINT MAARTEN — FREEGAN Foundation successfully hosted its Circle of Giving event, raising $1,430 to support its mission of feeding and uplifting the Sint Maarten community. The gathering took place at Villa Avanti Sxm in Terres Basses, transforming the scenic property into a sanctuary of wellness, generosity, and communal spirit.

Guests were invited into an immersive experience featuring yoga, vegan cuisine, and a deeply restorative sound bath, all woven together to create an atmosphere of abundance and intentional giving. Proceeds from the event will go directly toward FREEGAN Foundation’s ongoing programs to feed and support residents across Sint Maarten.

The event was co-created in partnership with Suzy Scholz and Raul Dhanani, whose vision and expertise helped shape the experience from concept to execution. Special recognition goes to Villa Avanti Sxm for generously opening its doors and providing the breathtaking backdrop that made the day possible.
“Yesterday’s Circle of Giving was pure magic, and it was all made possible by our community. Every dollar raised goes directly toward feeding and supporting the people of Sint Maarten. We are deeply grateful for every soul who showed up and gave from the heart.”

All funds raised through the Circle of Giving support FREEGAN Foundation’s core programs, which provide nutritious food to individuals and families facing food insecurity in Sint Maarten. The Foundation continues to rely on the generosity of the island’s community and broader network of supporters to sustain and expand its reach.
FREEGAN Foundation has teased that more community-centered events are on the horizon.
