The Sint Maarten Hospitality and Trade Association (SHTA) is organizing a cover photo contest for the 2019 edition its magazine VISIT. The association invites local artists and frequent visitors to send in their most beautiful post-Irma pictures.

The contest will run for upcoming two weeks. Photographs should be portraying the island and its beauty, but taken after hurricane Irma. Even though much post-Irma footage is available that will be used for other elements of the book, the association sees the cover contest as an opportunity to make VISIT an even more authentic Sint Maarten product.

VISIT magazine is printed 25.000 times and forms the official in-room magazine of the association. It is used by the association as a business card for visiting tour operators and travel writers. For its 2019 VISIT magazine, SHTA and its partners are eyeing to make it a true “comeback” edition with new design as well as added extras.

The photo contest kicks off today, and ends at September 30th, 2018 12pm. Entries submitted after this period will not be eligible. Applicants can send their photo to A maximum of three photos is allowed to be sent in. All pictures should be in high resolution making it fit for print.
