The main functions for the 17th edition of the St. Maarten / St. Martin Annual Regional Tradeshow (SMART) will be held at Simpson Bay Resort, Marina & Spa (Pelican) and Wai Beach Club (Orient Bay). This was announced by organizer the St. Maarten Hospitality & Trade Association (SHTA) in conjunction with the St. Maarten Tourism Bureau, l`Office de Tourisme de St. Martin and the Club du Tourisme de St. Martin.

SMART 2025 will kick off the newest tradeshow edition with the events’ traditional grand opening ceremony at Simpson Bay Resort, Marina & Spa. Two days later, Wai Beach Club in Orient Bay Beach will take over with its event.

For this SMART edition, travel trade activities will continue until Friday April 4th. The five days of events will mark the longest edition of the 25 year old tradeshow. In 2024, a fourth day was added to enhance Caribbean Island experiences, it’s now added day 5 which will focus on the unique “island hopping” combinations and daytrip opportunities in between of the Northeastern Caribbean islands. Trips will be organized in conjunction with destinations Anguilla and Saba.

The 17th edition of SMART brings together tourism professionals from the region and beyond to discuss business opportunities with Northeastern Caribbean tourism companies, highlighting island experiences in the process by means of a renewed joint formula exploring adventures on both sides of the island.

SMART 2025 will be host to travel and trade professionals from Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Aruba, Brazil, British Virgin Islands, Canada, Colombia, Curacao, Dominica, Dominican Republic, France, Germany, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Montserrat, the Netherlands, Panama, Poland, Puerto Rico, Saba, Spain, Statia, St. Barths, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Maarten, St. Martin, Trinidad and Tobago and the United States.

As always, SMART builds on large involvement of the St. Maarten private sector, with special support for its 17th edition from St. Maarten Sightseeing Tours (SST), Princess Juliana International Airport, Sonesta Maho Beach Resort, Expedia Group, Simpson Bay Resort, SHOWME Caribbean, Winair, Port St. Maarten, Booking Success, CC1 St. Maarten, Autobev Systems, International Liquors & Tobacco Trading, Flow Business, Island Spirits N.V, Anguilla Tourist Board and Saba Tourism Bureau.
