Leveraging his profound expertise in hospitality and team leadership, Martins will supervise staffing, rooms, dining and drinking establishments, guest services, and more across both Sonesta St. Maarten properties.
Boasting nearly two decades of global hospitality experience, Martins is a seasoned professional in the field, noted for his forward-thinking approach and an impressive history of augmenting profit margins. Before joining Sonesta St. Maarten, Martins served as the Hotel Manager at the Suriname-based Torarica Group, where he successfully tripled the revenue at the group’s three hotels within the first full year after the COVID-19 crisis. His other noteworthy achievements include the launch of DoubleTree by Hilton Doha – Al Sadd, Hilton Riyadh Hotel & Residences, and Hilton Batumi in Georgia. Early in his career, Martins honed his skills by undertaking diverse roles across several European properties.
In his new position, Martins will spearhead the continuous improvement of resort facilities, amenities, and overall guest experiences for families, couples, business travelers, groups, and others across both properties.
