The St. Maarten/St. Martin Annual Regional Tradeshow (SMART) will return on June 14–18, 2027, and has officially launched registration with the “Chirp First Early Bird Season.” This was announced today after a meeting of the four main SMART partners: l’ Office du Tourisme, St. Maarten Tourism Bureau, the Club du Tourisme, and the St. Maarten Hospitality & Trade Association (SHTA).

Visitors to the 2026 edition received a “Save the Date” note two weeks ago, along with a thank-you note for participating in the 18th edition in June this year. As of last Friday, the date had officially been reserved in the regional events calendar of the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA).

As the Northeastern Caribbean’s largest business-to-business platform, SMART brings together regional tourism authorities, hoteliers, tour operators, and vendors to create business opportunities, strengthen partnerships, and promote St. Maarten as a destination. Its 2026 edition, held from June 22–26, 2026, at the JW Marriott in Dawn Beach, broke several records in its 25-year history. Amongst these were over 1,500 appointments and the amount of vendors (island companies selling products to tourism partners).

“Chirp First Early Bird Season” was added to the event for the first time for this year’s edition, providing an opportunity for early registrants to secure their preferred spot on the tradeshow floor. This allows businesses to maximize their brand visibility and strategic networking access right from the start. Costs, as with the subsequent Early Bird season until January 31, 2027, are lower than in the final months leading up to the event. This phased registration gives regional and international tourism businesses the opportunity to register early and prepare for their participation in the tradeshow.

Building on the success of previous editions, SMART 2027 will feature pre-scheduled B2B matchmaking appointments, insightful seminars on regional tourism growth, and exclusive networking events. SHTA encourages all tourism stakeholders, suppliers, and service providers to register early to secure both early-bird savings and prime positioning for the Caribbean’s premier tourism marketplace.

During the Chirp First Early Bird Season, a first-come, first-served basis will apply to table and floor-section selection. More information about SMART is available at www.shta.com/SMART or by contacting info@shta.com.
