The St. Maarten Flavors program, meant to highlight St. Maarten’s culinary diversity during the month of November, has launched an online auction for those residents, visitors and companies that want to support the upcoming culinary month. This was announced by the St. Maarten Hospitality & Trade Association (SHTA) today.

Over 20 companies, varying from hotels to jewelers, fashion stores and activity providers, have provided products that will be up for bidding by the public as of today at stmaartenflavors.com/items. Bidding starts at half the product’s market value, allowing great discounts on many St. Maarten products, hotel stays and excursions.

In the month of November, St. Maarten Flavors program participants will showcase the great variety of culinary delights St. Maarten has to offer. Registered restaurants offer special deals from samplers to one course bites for $17.50 to three course dining experiences at $49. The list of now 32 participating restaurants, as well as their locations, can be found at http://www.stmaartenflavors.com/.

For the first group of auction items, containing a total value of over $12,000 of products, SHTA thanks supporters Alicia’s Inn, Amsterdam Cheese & Liquor Store, Aqua Mania Adventures, Awareness in Business, Belair Beach Hotel, Caribbean Weeks, Del Mar Boutique, Divi Little Bay Resort, Dive St. Maarten, Dutch Blonde Beach Bar Escape Rooms, Fitness Coaching by Desiree Winkel, Holland House Beach Hotel, Keijzer Computers, Kooijman, L’Espérance Hotel, Oyster Bay Beach Resort, Random Wind Charters, Sapphire Beach Club Resort, Seaside Nature Park, Simpson Bay Resort, St. Maarten Nectar, Sint Maarten Yacht Club, The Morgan Resort & Spa and TriSport for their support of the program.

The auction remains open to any company wanting to share an item throughout the months of October as well as St. Maarten Flavors Month of November. Winners of all auction items will be assessed based on the highest bids on December 1, 12.00 AM. Revenues of the auction will be used for launching a new culinary team of St. Maarten talents to the prestigious Taste of the Caribbean cooking competition in Miami.
