In today’s Daily Herald, a Menu summarizing the 2023 St. Maarten Flavors participant’s signature dishes has launched this year’s St. Maarten Flavors Campaign. The full-page overview is a donation by NorthSouthNet, the publisher of the St. Maarten Hospitality & Trade Association (SHTA) in-room hotel magazine VISIT in an attempt to support and reaffirm the culinary diversity of the island.
This year’s St. Maarten Flavors program kicks off with participating restaurants and bars offering reduced price “Signature Dishes” at $49 or $17.50. Apart from promotions domestic and foreign for the campaign and its individual participating restaurants, travel journalists will come and sample several of the signature dishes presented. Many hotels support the program with communications at their reception desk.
St. Maarten Flavors Restaurants and Bars offering a three course November Signature dish for $49 are Al Pasha, Amoré, Astra, Avantika, Emilio’s, Infinity, Jai’s Contemporary Fusion Cuisine, La Perle Bleu, Mr. Chow, Ocean Lounge, Pure Ocean, Rendez Vous, Roma, Sale e Pepe, Salt, TJ’s Cassava Coal Pot and Topper’s Restaurant.
Those restaurants offering a lighter one course bite or cocktail combination special in November for $17.50 are Aziana, Dinghy’s Beach Bar & Grill, Jimmy the Original Fatboy BBQ, Nola Bayou Bistro, Palapa Grill & Lounge, The Captain’s Rib Shack, Schnitzelhouse SXM, St. Rose Beach Bar, The Chef Table, The Pier Beach Bar & Restaurant and The Tavern.
New restaurants have revealed their signature dishes that will be presented during the St. Maarten Flavors month of November. Amongst the harvest of newly published menus is Amoré offering Gamberi Shrimp followed by Ossobucco braised veal shanks in earthy wine and vegetable-based sauce and Profiteroles with vanilla Ice Cream. St. Rose Beach Bar presents two Peach & Mango Colada’s and two cups of Luciano ice cream. Sale e Pepe provides Crab cake Caribbean Style Caesar Salad, followed by Lobster Ravioli and topped off with Tiramisu.
Topper’s brings to flavors their Coconut Jumbo Shrimp followed by two options Prime Rib or freshly caught Lobster, closing off with Topper’s Famous Rhum Cake. Dinghy’s Beach Bar offers Fresh Catch Tacos: 3 Soft flour tortillas, Cole Slaw, Blackened & Grilled Fresh Caught Fish, Pineapple Salsa and a side of Chipotle Lime Crema.
In addition to SHTA, The St. Maarten Tourist Bureau, EZ shop powered by Prime and PDG Supplies, the St. Maarten Flavors program is actively supported by, Sol Gas, ORCO Bank, VISIT Magazine, El Dorado Demerara Rum, Disaronno, Island 92 Radio, Trakx, SXM Talks, X104 Radio, Sotheby’s St. Martin and Sound 2000.
