Sint Maarten – August 14, 2024 – Winair is providing an update on flight operations following the passage of Storm Ernesto.
While the storm has passed, its impact on regional airports and our operations is ongoing. As a result, we are pleased to announce the following flight schedule will operate Wednesday August 14, weather and wind permitting:
- SXM – SBH WM651 departure 13:45
- SXM – SBH WM659 departure 14:50
- SXM – EUX WM543 departure 18:05
- SXM-EUX WM541 departure 19:20
Please note that SABA airport (SAB) remains closed at this time.
We are actively monitoring weather conditions and the status of other airports in the region. Our next update will be issued at 13:00 today, providing information on the resumption of additional flights from 16:00 onwards.
We understand the inconvenience and frustration caused by these disruptions. Restoring normal flight operations after any storm or hurrican requires careful assessment of conditions and the safe return of our aircraft from alternate locations.
