UTS pledges support to SMART 2015 at Sonesta Maho Resort
PHILIPSBURG – UTS has pledged its support to the 14th St. Martin/St. Maarten Annual Regional Trade Show (SMART), which is slated for May 13-15, 2015 at the Sonesta Maho Resort and Conference Center. The Telecom provider is supporting the regional trade show with bandwidth to allow its local and international participants to conduct their business as usual while at the trade show. SHTA officials organizing the event, as well as visiting media, will be able to take advantage of the connectivity offered by the telecoms provider also. The aim of the event is to bring industry professions from the region together to support, interact and promote tourism to the Eastern Caribbean. “We are happy to support this yearly initiative in its aim to further strengthen the main pillar of our economy, which is tourism” says UTS Marketing and Communication Officer, Ivy Lambert. “We commend the organizers on staging a better event every year so far and hope for another productive and successful event filled with opportunity for all participants. The event is being jointly organized by L’Association des Hoteliers de St. Martin, The St. Maarten Hospitality and Trade Association in conjunction with L’Office du Tourisme de St. Martin and the St. Maarten Tourist Bureau.
