Introduction

The St Maarten Tourism Bureau, St Maarten Hospitality & Trade Association (SHTA) and occupational health expert company Medwork are pleased to announce the launch of their newest collaboration:  “SafeSeal”!

SafeSeal is the immediately recognizable emblem for companies that are verified that they adhere to strict cleanliness and hygiene guidelines to counter the COVID19 pandemic.

The SafeSeal has been devised by medical and occupational safety professionals. The methods and practices have been used to grant acknowledgement of best COVID19 prevention practices to 1700 companies in the Caribbean. For St Maarten, the checklists per sector have been validated to befit, among other, the guidelines on stmaartengov.org.

Specialized checklists have been devised for businesses,accomodations, shop/retail, lodging, restaurants, casinos and various other lines of business. Obtaining the Seal is voluntary. The Safe Seal serves as a visual recognition of your company’s commitment to the health and safety of your customers and employees.  And it will be used for digital exposure/promotion by St Maarten Tourism Board and the St Maarten Hospitality and Trade Association.

By highlighting best practice companies, the organizations want to spread the word that Sint Maarten is making its best effort to be a safe destination. The seal acknowledges a high set of operational standards according to international and local guidelines; 100% guarantee of prevention is not achievable but a level of assurance is provided that the specific entity has been adhering to the standards and has been audited by an independent expert that they are meeting the criteria.

  4. Truthfully fill in questionnaire
  5. Obtain results + if needed free advice regarding results from Medwork’s occupational health professional making sure you pass
  6. Receive Seal Sticker (or optional acrylic version)!
